In addition to programs for veterans and first responders, Warrior Ranch Foundation also supports horses in need through a dedicated equine training program.
Led by equine professional Gina Lamb, this work helps horses develop trust, confidence, communication, and practical skills through patient, relationship-based training. The program reflects one of the core beliefs behind Warrior Ranch: people and horses can both move forward when they are given time, care, and the right support.
Warrior Ranch is widely known for its work with veterans and first responders, but the mission has always included horses in need as well. The equine training program focuses specifically on the horses. Some horses may arrive needing time, consistency, care, handling, or retraining before they are ready for the next chapter of their lives. This program gives those horses the opportunity to learn, settle, rebuild confidence, and develop healthier relationships with people. While Warrior Ranch’s veteran and first responder programs may also benefit the horses, the equine training program is its own important part of the organization’s work.

Led by Equine Professional Gina Lamb
The equine training program is led by Gina Lamb, an experienced horsewoman and equine professional whose work is grounded in Natural Horsemanship, trust, communication, and the relationship between horse and handler. Gina brings a lifetime love of horses and a deep respect for the Warrior Ranch mission. Through her work with horses, she helps create the kind of calm, consistent environment where horses can learn, gain confidence, and begin to move forward. Her approach recognizes that training is not simply about control. It is about communication, understanding, patience, and helping each horse develop at a pace that supports trust.

Some may need to learn new skills, develop confidence, or become more comfortable in a structured environment. Warrior Ranch’s equine training program uses a patient, relationship-based approach that emphasizes clear communication, safety, respect, and consistency. The goal is to help each horse become more confident, more responsive, and better prepared for the next step in its journey. Training may include groundwork, handling, desensitization, confidence-building, manners, preparation for new environments, and other exercises appropriate to each horse’s needs.
