Suicide Training for Local First Responders

Many thanks to the Times-Review Newspapers and Nick Grasso for the coverage of our two-day ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) course that we held for local first responders, health care workers and others. Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital and the Center for Suicide Prevention of New York sponsored the event. We were honored to host this seminar, offering another tool in helping people who have given up hope find reasons not to die by suicide.
