"Like a Rock"
“Like a Rock” was a slogan used to describe Chevy trucks, but it could also be used to describe Warrior Ranch herd member, Chevy. Strong, sturdy, reliable Chevy has been a valuable addition to the ranch. He’s a beautiful mover, a kind soul, and he slid into his roll as an equine therapy horse very smoothly. Chevy is rideable, dependable, and an all around sweet horse. The horses at Warrior Ranch are adoptable to the right home.
Ranch welcomes courage & sacrifice!
Warrior Ranch was honored to welcome Jeff Elie, Vice President of Courage & Sacrifice, to our recent retreat on June 28th. Courage & Sacrifice has been a generous
supporter of our mission to serve veterans and first responders, and we’re deeply grateful for their partnership.
During his visit, Jeff joined in as participants worked with horses on obstacles and groundwork. He even took a turn driving the cart with Sully, guided by Robbie Siegelman of Siegelman Stables.
Together, we continue to help heroes find strength, confidence, and peace through the healing power of horses.
powerful & special night
Hearts were opened. Lives were touched. Stories were shared.
The Warrior Ranch family came together for an unforgettable evening at the premiere of "WARRIOR - A Battle Against Trauma: Learning to Love and Trust Again."
Directed and produced by Warrior Ranch Founder and President Eileen Shanahan and Media Specialist Danielle Altebrando, this powerful documentary explores the often overlooked struggles of veterans living with PTS and the healing potential of equine connection. We congratulate them on an extraordinary film.
An integral figure in the story is Warrior, the rescue horse whose own journey from abuse and neglect helped inspire the founding of Warrior Ranch. His resilience continues to reflect the mission at the core of our work: fostering trust, recovery, and connection between veterans and rescue horses.
Tommy DiMisa served as emcee for the evening, with Emmerson Ortolani delivering a moving rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. After the screening, the cast joined in a thoughtful Q&A, and we thank the veterans featured in the film for their courage in sharing their experiences.
Held at The Suffolk in Riverhead on May 22nd, the premiere was more than a film screening, it was a gathering of community, courage, and hope.
Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and continues to stand with us. The mission isn't over.
